Pandora (ancient Greek Πανδώρα - "gifted to all," all-gifted, all-giving), in ancient Greek mythology, is the first woman created at the behest of Zeus. The curious Pandora opened the vessel (πιθος) (Pandora's box), which she received from Zeus, from which all misfortunes and disasters scattered all over the earth, and under the lid that was slammed in fear, only hope remained on the bottom.
